MTA won planning permission from Southwark Council to erect two contemporary semi-detached houses on a disused parking area near Brick Layers Arms. The 266m2 development consists of two, three bedroom houses, one with an enclosed courtyard garden and the other with a garden to the street. Both buildings are built in brick and glass block with glazed corner windows and sedum roofs. Planning permission involved detailed presentations, consultations and negotiations with local residents, councillors as initially there was considerable opposition.
