Cherry Garden Street

MTA won planning permission to refurbish and extend a terrace house belonging to a 1980s riverside development. The client’s brief involved a ground floor rear infill extension to form a larger bedroom/garden room with large glazed doors and glazed roof as well as new windows and a full internal refurbishment

Going from a narrow and dimly lit guest room with a kitchenette to a large room with a dedicated shower room and flooded with natural light, the rear extension opened up the house’s spatial flexibility and provided a much improved rear garden access with a generous and robust decking. The house’s three storeys were fully refurbished with new stairs, bathrooms and a new kitchen opening up the first floor through strategically placed glazed elements that allow light to travel through the long floorplan and tie in the whole space together.

MTA worked closely with the client and their chosen contractor, JP Project Management, to provide a well-finished and clean final scheme with attention to detail and finishes to achieve a beautiful home.
